Sad but true: high-school students as young as 11 are sexting. The group sharing of those messages and images can have serious psychological consequences, not to mention legal ones.
We get all the credit, and yet it was young people themselves who came up with the idea of the century: “If you want young people to understand, you have to use young people’s language in your campaign.” That’s what they told us in brainstorming sessions. And so the #KeepItPrivate campaign was born. A shock campaign that replicated the sexts circulating in schools. The campaign was picked up by other police forces across the province, and has proved to be the most effective tool developed to date to open the dialogue on this subject.
